Day 2: DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH N.P.
Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda Start this day with an early morning breakfast, after you will be picked up by one of our knowledgeable guide and set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park on your way you will have a stopover at the Equator have a cup of coffee or tea and watch a water demonstration. After this amazing experience you will proceed to Mbarara where you will have your lunch, stretch and relax then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s second largest National park, located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has prolific game, including four of the big Five that is the Lion, Leopard, Elephant and Buffalo just missing out only the Rhino not for forgetting much more wildlife such as, Uganda Kobs, Warthog and Waterbuck.
Lions are often sighted both in the park and at the entrance to the park. Be prepared for huge numbers of hippo since Kazinga channel is rated to have a big number of Hippos and keep your eyes peeled for a leopard lazing in the sunshine. In the late afternoon you will setoff for an evening game-drive this is more often done in the Northern part of the park in the Kasenyi plain grassland with rich wildlife ranging from the big mammals to the small mammals and not missing out the beautiful savanna birds. Later after the game drive you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and spend a night. Bush Lodge is located on a unique location and has been designed and handcrafted using local materials, fitted by artisans from the local community. Overlooking Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park it offers private safari tents on raised wooden floors and canvas walls that can be rolled up to allow you to sit comfortably watching the Kazinga Channel with breath taking views across the Park . Watch wildlife from your verandah and fall asleep to the roaring of Lions on the distant savannah and grazing Hippos. This is truly Africa! DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING, AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE AND EVENING GAME DRIVE
Begin this wonderful day with a warm breakfast and setoff for the amazing Chimpanzee tracking in kyambura gorge. The Kyambura Gorge experience is more than discovering Chimps in their environment. It teaches the visitors about the ecosystems of Kyambura Gorge’s atmospheric underground rainforest including vegetation type, Bird identification, chimps and monkeys ecology. Some of Monkey species include the Black and white colobus monkeys, Red tailed monkey and much more. The fact that it’s a dense forest and lies within the rift valley this inhabits lots of beautiful forest birds such as Narina Tragon and butterflies. After this exclusive experience you drive to Mweya Peninsular where you will have you lunch before you setoff for yet another wonderful activity which is non-other than a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. This is an oasis for many of the fascinating species that inhabit the park, and taking a boat trip along Kazinga Channel gives the visitors a chance to cruise just a few meters from hundreds of enormous hippos since Kazinga channel is well known for its big number of Hippos Crocodiles sun basking and Buffaloes while Elephants linger along the shoreline.. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour. This takes about 2hours from the starting point to coming back. After this marvelous and unforgettable experience you will opt for an evening game drive either to the salt lake of Katwe or to the craters where you will have the great views of the jagged Rwenzori Mountains, you later drive back to the lodge where you will have dinner and spend a night. DAY 4: GAME DRIVE IN KASENYI AND ISHASHA FOR TREE CLIMBING LIONS AND LATER CONTINUE TO BWINDI
Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda Start this day with a delicious breakfast and set off for the classic African safari in the Kasenyi tracks, the North Kazinga and the Ishasha sector offers virtually guaranteed Buffalos, Antelopes and Elephant sightings, along with warthogs. Ishasha sector is the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national which is famous for the tree climbing Lions. The fig trees of Ishasha hide Lions ready to prey on the Herds of unsuspecting Uganda Kobs. Since Queen Elizabeth was classified as an Important Birding Area by Birding International, Queens great variety of habitats means it is home to over 600 species which is the greatest of any East African National Park. After this rewarding experience you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, check in Buhoma Community Lodge where you will have dinner and spend an overnight. DAY 5: GORILLA TRACKING
Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Kanungu and Kisoro, Kabale Uganda Today is the big day; prepare yourself for an encounter with one of Bwindis gentle giants: the rare mountain gorilla. For most people this is the absolute highlight of their tour in Uganda. Tracking is a captivation and unforgettable experience which more than repays the efforts needed to reach Bwindi and to trek through the forest. Gorilla tracking can be challenging and needs one to be reasonable fit before undertaking to venture into the activity. Gorilla tracking starts at 8:30am and lasts from a few hours to a whole day depending on where the Gorillas where left the previous day. Though Gorilla tracking is the main attraction, the forest is also endowed with 120 species of mammals, 364 species of birds, 202 species of Butterflies, 163 species of trees, 100 species of ferns and many other endangered species. It is a UNESCO designated world Heritage Site popular for Mountain Gorillas and chimpanzees, the two great African apes listed as endangered animals in the IUCN Red Data Book. DAY 6: DRIVE TO LAKE BUNYONYI AND RELAX
Stop At: Bunyonyi Overland Resort, Plot 1 Kazooba Road, Lake Bunyonyi, Kabale, Uganda Begin the day with a cup of coffee or tea, and then depart for Lake Bunyonyi which literally means a place of very many birds. This lake is the Africa’s second deepest Lake with about 900 meters. This is situated in the south-western part of Uganda and has about 29 islands amongst these include the Punishment Island. This is a beautiful place with beautiful sceneries accompanied by good historical attachments. While on this lake you can opt to do a boat cruise around the lake and visit all the 29 Islands and enjoy the cool breath of the lake. Later relax at the lodge as wait for diner and spend and overnight. Day 7: DAYS OR TRANSFER TO KAMPALA EARLY IN THE FOR MORNING TO ENTEBBE AND FLY OUT
Pass By: Airport Transfer Entebbe, Kampala Uganda After an early breakfast at the lodge, we will drive back to Kampala or Entebbe (Airport) stopping at the equator for the requisite snapshot and a bit of souvenir shopping. Accommodation for tonight is not inclusive in the program. If you wish to depart tonight from Entebbe Airport, make sure your flight is at 10 pm or later.
